According to UkrPapir, Association of Ukrainian Enterprises of Pulp and Paper Industry, during the rampant pandemic, the key players of the Ukrainian market have produced about 710.5 million square meters of corrugated boxes, almost 1.5% more than in 2019.
At the same time, the production of corrugated cardboard sheets decreased by almost 4% to 78 million square meters, of liner and fluting – by 2.5% to 493 thousand tons.
In particular, Rubezhnoye Cardboard and Packaging Mill reduced the production of corrugated cardboard sheets by almost 24%, Zhidachevsky PPM reduced the production of liner and fluting by more than 40%. At the same time, some enterprises have significantly increased their output.
E.g., Poninka Cardboard and Paper Mill-Ukraine (+12%), Izmail Pulp and Paper Mill (+5.9%), Dunapak Tavria (+3.9%) – for corrugated boxes; Kyiv Cardboard and Paper Mill (+5.2%) – for corrugated sheets; Papir-Mal (+12.4%) and Lutsk Cardboard and Paper Mill-Ukraine (+11.9%) – for liner and fluting.
