On January 31, 1898, 17 pulp and paper mills in the northeastern United States joined to form International Paper Company
For 125 years, International Paper has been a leading global supplier of renewable fiber-based products. They produce corrugated packaging products that protect and promote goods, and enable worldwide commerce, and pulp for diapers, tissue and other personal care products that promote health and wellness.
Headquartered in Memphis (Tennessee, USA), IP employs approximately 38,000 colleagues globally with manufacturing operations in North America, Latin America, North Africa and Europe. Net sales for 2022 were $21.2 bn (up 9% on 2021), adjusted operating earnings (non-GAAP) – $1.2bn (up 24% on 2021).
On February 2, 2023, IP has been named to Fortune magazine’s list of World’s Most Admired Companies for the 20th time.
