The planned annual capacity of the enterprise is 240 thousand tons of corrugated products. The launch is scheduled for the second quarter of 2024
“The plant in Piracicaba (São Paulo) will be the largest and most high-tech enterprise for the production of corrugated packaging in Brazil,” says Douglas Dalmasi, Packaging Director at Klabin.
“Our company is building an integration model for the production of eco-friendly packaging – from planting pine and eucalyptus forests to the production of a kraftliner.
“The construction of a powerful state-of-the-art plant (called Project Figueira) is another milestone in this phase, allowing us to expand our presence in the southeast of Brazil, the country’s largest consumer market.”
The plant will be built on a plot of 950,000 sqm, allowing for future expansion. At the first stage, two corrugators and nine converting lines will be put into operation here, increasing the total annual capacity of Klabin enterprises up to 1.3 million tons of corrugated products.
