After 30 years at the helm, Jürgen Heindl moves to the supervisory board. He is succeeded by his son and former deputy Maximilian. The second son Vinzenz continues to head the Professionals Academy, which trains specialists for the company
Progroup AG (Landau) was founded in 1991. Today it is one of the largest European manufacturers of containerboard and corrugated board with 15 factories in six countries of Central Europe (three paper and 12 corrugated cardboard plants). With 1,554 employees, the company generated sales of around €1.3 billion in 2021.
This year, Progroup constructed the 12th corrugated sheetboard plant in Stryków, Poland with annual production capacity of 825 million sqm (one of the biggest corrugated board production facilities in the world).
In the second half of 2023, the company plans to launch its 13th corrugated sheetfeeder plant in Petersberg (Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany). Investments in the site amount to more than €90 million.
In addition, projects for the construction of corrugated board plants in France and Italy are at the final planning stage.
By 2025, Progroup aims to double production compared to 2015, creating more than 500 new jobs. The planned investments are about €1.5 billion.
