Last year, Akın Burak Önder moved from Turkey to the United States. In a flash interview, he tells a little about himself, the company and life in Ohio
“How long have you worked in Corrugated Packaging?”
“I have been working with Saica for more than eight years, and in total for about 17 years in the corrugated industry. Prior to that, I worked in pharmaceutical companies and the travel industry.”
“Why did you decide to move to the US for Saica?”
“It was a big challenge for Saica and its first step overseas. At the same time, it was a good opportunity to introuce Saica Performance Packaging to this market.”
“What do you appreciate about Saica?”
“One of the most important things for me is commitment, which is very high at Saica. We do our business with great patience, great love and soul. A high level of commitment is key for the company and for me.”

“What are you passionate about at work?”
“To share experience and interact with my team, learn American culture and other information that will help us to have a long-term success in the US.”
“Do you like living in the US and Ohio?”
“The climate and geography are very suitable, the land is very green, like Saica, it’s not far from Cincinnati, so I’m happy with that.”
“What’s a favorite Turkish meal, can we have the recipe?”
“Turkey is very famous for kebabs. I can give you the recipe, but there will be too many details…”
