Young people do not leave the German manufacturer of casemakers because they like it here. Let’s take a look at this collective picture – neither this one left, nor that one, neither this one, nor that one

“Kolbus is a great company to work for – just ask our team!” Kolbus turns to the readers from LinkedIn. “With a dedicated apprenticeship scheme for young people, we help the next generation of electrical and mechanical engineers gain in-depth experience within our company. And the best thing is that our young apprentices graduate to become fully qualified members of our team!
“As an example, here are four of the apprentices who joined us in 2016 – some six years later, they are all still with us and making a real impact on the growth and development of Kolbus in the UK!”
From left to right: Andrejs Solovjovs – Electrical Team Leader; Lewis Fishwick – Mechanical Team Leader; Thomas Cutler – Skilled Mechanical fitter and Health & Safety Committee Member; and Riaz Siddiq – Skilled Mechanical Fitter & MultiCut build specialist (MultiCut is a module for AutoBox box-on-demand casemaker designed to make more complex packaging with additional openings and handles).

The young and dynamically developing Kolbus company has been on the market for about 250 years.
In 1775, it was founded by a farrier and shoeing smith of the Prussian army, Christian Heinrich Kolbus (by the way! There is no hard consonant “l” in German language).
At present, Kolbus’s headquarters in Rahden (East Westphalia) stands on the site of his smithy.
