To celebrate the 60th anniversary, the German manufacturer of extraction and filter systems made a short movie about the company. Watch a soulful 4-minute video (in German with English subtitles)
My name is Frank Höcker, I’m the owner of Höcker Polytechnik GmbH and the second generation to run the company.
I think what sets us apart is this family feeling at work. The whole environment is just right. Individuals still count, and anyone can be contacted at any time.
We are very broadly positioned with our products. Höcker is definitely a pioneer in the industry, and that is what we try to do: always going one step further.
And you can do a lot right with every product we make, but you can also do a lot wrong. It’s always the details that decide whether it works or not, and we are really strong on details.
Training plays a very important role. We currently have about 30 apprentices in five different trades, intending to hire them later as journeymen.
We motivate young colleagues to stay here with us, because that is the future. Not only for this company, but for all of us.
The term sustainability is now incredibly broad in scope. One aspect, of course, is the environment. The second pillar is financial sustainability, and the third one is sustainability in the area of personnel development.
It is really the case that many employees who work here have been with us since their training. But we are also trying to make our internal processes in the company a little more efficient and sustainable.
There are ISO certifications for this. It is a question of making energy evaluations, recording our electricity and gas consumption. We have an energy team in the company for this purpose.
And of course we pass on this sustainability to the outside world.
If the customer has a system that consumes 300 kW, and then he gets a system from us that consumes 150kW, he will definitely say: “That’s great!”
I feel so proud when I walk across the yard, see the large plants, see how far the company has come that Günther Höcker created back then.
And you have to imagine that he, as the founder and salesman, painted the fans himself during the afternoon shift. This really was a textbook start-up, so to speak.
We’ll see where the future takes us, and we hope things keep going as they are.
We are Höcker Polytechnik. Founded in 1962. Created by hundreds of employees, thousands of customers and a lot of ideas. Thanks!
