SFT Group Upgrades PM7 at Kamenskaya Paper&Board Mill

The project’s implementation allowed increasing the annual productivity of paper machine from 225 thousand tons to 240 thousand tons of recycled containerboard with better and steadier characteristics

The ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted the Governor of Tver Oblast Igor Rudenya, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Oleg Bocharov and other guests

“The modernization project had an ecological focus and was aimed at achieving the best modern technologies,” says Evgeny Glezman, Managing Director of SFT Group. “We fulfilled it following the SFT Group Strategy 2030, comprising the total group’s productivity increase through the modernization of equipment, introduction of high technologies and principles of sustainable development.”

The upgrade of PM7 included the replacement of headbox, increase of dewatering and dryer hood extraction capacities, installation of dryer fabrics cleaners, improvement of steam condensate and vibration diagnostics systems, etc.

“Today, the recycled containerboards of Kamenskaya Paper&Board Mill (SFT Liner, SFT Medium) are among the best in the Russian market,” continues Evgeny Glezman. “We sell it to many Russian manufacturers of corrugated cardboard packaging, including industry leaders, and export it to over 20 countries in Europe, South America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.”

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by the Governor of Tver Oblast Igor Rudenya, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Oleg Bocharov, Deputy Chairman of the Government — Minister of Tver Oblast for Economic Development Ivan Egorov, and others.
