After an emergency this summer, the company redistributed its capacities and continues to produce corrugated packaging. Today, the UniTechUpak site in Klin (Moscow region) produces and sells up to 3.2 mln sq. m of packaging per month
“After the modernization of our corrugator and the installation of Kaituo dry end, we monthly produce up to 2.3 mln sq. m of corrugated board,” says Alexey Pimenov, UniTechUpak CEO. “The renewed corrugator works at 110% (laughs).
“Nevertheless, today our processing capacities exceed the capacities for the board production, so the rest of the corrugated board is purchased.
“In the middle of November 2020, together with Gofro Technologies, we installed and launched another TCY 9PA-FG miniline with two print units and Smart Tech system (reducing the setting up time), along with Mosca MCB-2/1300 fully automatic inline strapping machine.
“Now we have three inlines altogether: one more TCY miniline with three print units, and a monoprint Bronco jumboline, all in line with Mosca strapping machines.”
“9PA-FG is one of the most popular lines,” says Alexander Mangushev, Gofro Technologies CEO (GT Group, St.-Petersburg).
“It makes up to 400 boxes a minute.
“About three dozen Russian enterprises already use this equipment, including Bolotninskaya Gofrotara, Karavaevo, Remos-Alfa (a full list can be found at gofrotech.ru. — Ed.).
“The new 9PA has a US-made Sun automatic vacuum feed section and a vacuum Cincinnati Fan onboard.
“A computerized control system allows to reduce machine setup time. It is equipped with an independent Mitsubishi PLC in each section, and an ongoing work diagnostic and visualization system with a touch screen, notifying of the need for routine maintenance.
“Also, this miniline features data storage without the need to reset operation parameters, low noise of gears and precise work of all components thanks to high-quality bearings.
“As for Mosca, UniTechUpak is familiar with these German strapping machines for a long time. The plant already operates TRC and MCB-2 models.
“The machines have worked impeccably for more than five years, therefore, when the need arose for a new strapping machine, UniTechUpak again chose a time-tested model.
“The MCB-2 fully automates the stage that follows the production of containers and precedes their transportation to storage.
“The machine is completely free of pneumatic components, has no compressor, dehumidification or air conditionin, which significantly increases overall reliability and reduces operating costs.
“All drive elements are electrical for easy maintenance. The unit is assembled on Dunker servo motors (Germany) and allows strapping of up to 25 packs per minute with simultaneous leveling and pressing.
“Shortly Gorfro Technologies will also supply a pacer conveyor for this strapping machine.”
